Summer Learning Prevents - Summer Learning Loss
What is Summer Learning Loss?
Research spanning 100 years has proven that all students lose ground academically when they are out of school for the summer. The problem is particularly among low-income students who lose an average of more than two months in reading achievement in the summer, which slows their progress toward third grade reading proficiency. (White, 1906; Entwisle & Alexander 1992; Cooper, 1996; Downey et al. 2004).

Assessments & Grade Level Testing
Discovering Our Students' Academic Needs!
The first step in succeeding at school begins with assessing grade level math and reading skills. This assessment is necessary to determine what the student has mastered along with those skills that need more attention in order to reach grade level expectations. We then apply the Catch Up, Keep Up and Propel Beyond approach to academic success. Each student's specific academic program is created in order to advance their present knowledge and test scores in school. We have a Catch-Up, Keep-Up and Propel Beyond grade level approach! Unlike most learning centers and tutorial programs, we are able to pinpoint areas of deficiency which allow us to correct academic challenges for the long term. We teach our students to be academically sound in their present grade level, then to be advance (Above Grade Level) in math, reading, writing, study skills to prepare for college and beyond.
